Is Setmore HIPAA compliant?
Online appointment booking. Its Setmore Health offering includes a standard BAA, chosen when the account is created on a Pro or Team plan.
Setmore signs a Business Associate Agreement only under specific conditions. Setmore Health needs a Pro or Team plan; a standard BAA is provided as part of account setup. Setmore Health can be chosen only when the account is created and cannot be turned off; existing accounts can't be converted.
A BAA alone does not make its use HIPAA compliant: you remain responsible for configuring it securely and covering it in your risk analysis.
