Signs a BAAYes

Tebra signs a Business Associate Agreement. Tebra's Business Associate Agreement "shall be incorporated into the Terms of Service for Customers that are Covered Entities" and takes effect on the account's Activation Date (BAA last updated March 17, 2025).

A BAA alone does not make its use HIPAA compliant: set it up as described under What to configure, and cover it in your risk analysis.

What you still have to configure

  1. Read the published BAA before activation; it applies through the Terms of Service rather than a separate signature. source
  2. Check separately any connected service that is not Tebra — a third-party app or integration may need its own agreement. source

Limitations

  • The BAA lets Tebra create de-identified health information from your PHI, use and disclose it for commercial purposes, and be its exclusive owner. source
  • Breaches and successful security incidents are reported to you without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 calendar days — the same outer limit you have for patient notices, so your own clock can be tight. source
  • Subscription prices are not published; Tebra quotes them on request. source
